Just like heaven

“Show me how you do that trick
The one that makes me scream” she said
“The one that makes me laugh” she said
And threw her arms around my neck
“Show me how you do it
And I promise you I promise that
I’ll run away with you
I’ll run away with you”

Audrey’s Prayer

Secret Agent, are you there? I think I am a little bit over my head.

Tortura tăcerii (I) | The Torture of Silence (I)

Tortura tacerii - The torture of silence
“Silence does not suffocate. Listen to it, teacher. It embraces you.”
– Tyrak to Lekila

Sărutul | The Kiss

Madrid, martie 2014

Să nu-ncerci viaţa s-o pricepi,
atunci se face sărbătoare.
Şi fiecare zi s-o-ncepi,
ca un copil ce, pe cărare,
primeşte darul, numai floare,
al adierilor ce trec.

S-adune florile-n buchet,
Nu-i trece pruncului prin minte.
Din păr el le desface-ncet,
Întinde mâinile-nainte,
Si cere altele, fierbinte,
La anii tineri, care-ncep.

(Rainer Maria Rilke, Să nu-ncerci viaţa s-o pricepi)

I love everything about Her

(Photo: Bruxelles, Grand Place)

I love everything about her

If you are a photographer, you sure want to see ~Her~ because of its exceptional cinematography and powerful close-ups. Joaquin Phoenix shines.

Also if you’re fed up with bullets-blood-cars-exploding-cheap-‘busters, you might find peace in this movie. ~Her~ moves at a slow pace which allows you to breathe, think and feel. Slow food vs. McShit cardboard taste burgers.

Talk about closing with a bang. Spike Jonze’s long-awaited original film about a writer that falls in love with his operating system is not only the best film to play at this year’s New York Film Festival; it very well could be the very best film of the year. “Her” is the finest writing and directorial endeavor of Spike Jonze’s career. And then there’s the towering and crowning work of Academy Award nominee Joaquin Phoenix who proves once again, he’s the finest actor working today, hands down. You can’t find a more dynamic and compelling story about the human connection and where we’re headed as a society.

When “Her” opens up, it snaps you immediately into the story. Phoenix plays Theodore, a writer for a website that makes letters for just about anyone. As he tries to find life during the midst of his divorce from his wife Catherine (played by a beautiful Rooney Mara), Theodore finds solace in a friendship with a new OS (operating system) named Samantha (voiced by Scarlett Johansson). The two develop a relationship in a world where OS’s are becoming the norm with society.

Wait for me

Wait for me - Bucuresti, centrul vechi, septembrie 2013“Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times. I just shoot at what interests me at that moment.”

Într-o bună zi, voi povesti totul lumii întregi

The Best Things in Life Are Free — Vreau să fiu singur cu tine, zicea el.
