In a restless world (like this is)

In a restless world like this is
Love is ended before it’s begun
And too many moonlight kisses
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun

Our world is a magical smoke screen (I)

“I am obsessed with beauty. I want everything to be perfect, and of course it isn’t. And that’s a tough place to be because you’re never satisfied.”

– Robert Mapplethorpe

Unfinished sympathy

unfinished sympathy

I am standing on the edge of a cliff and I know I have come too far to go back now. Even if I could, there is no way back and as much as I will long to turn around in times to come, I can only go forward now.

When I imagined this moment I always dreamed I’d jump forward into the open air and soar through the sky like a bird set free. But now I am here the emptiness looms below me unknown and I am shaking. I will myself to jump but my body stays where it is, here. On this familiar path lined with bright flowers that nourished me and kept me breathing and safe since the beginning of the history of my life. I stay still but one cannot stay still for long and soon the wind has caught me in powerful palms and pushes me. (The Road is Home)

Imitatio Angeli I

Imitatio angeli“If you try to get famous you won’t, but if you don’t care you probably will. You’ve got to stick to your guns, too, because once you back down you’re finished. The drawback of being famous is you get criticised for your fame rather than your work. People judge your lifestyle, not what you do. There used to be a lot of resentment if you had flash cars and beautiful women.”
– David Bailey

Cântecul Orbului I | Das Lied des Blinden I

(Rainer Maria Rilke – Cântecul orbului (Das Lied des Blinden). În românește de Dan Dănilă)

Simona în fața greutăților vieții

Simona in fata greutatilor vietii“Photography was destined to be involved with death. Reality is in color, but at its beginnings photography always discolored reality and turned it into black and white. Color is life, black and white is death. A ghost was hiding in the invention of photography.”

– Nobuyoshi Araki

Faster, towards nowhere

(Octavian Paler)
